Why Your Support Matters

  • The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates that bees pollinate every 1 in 3 bites of food we eat, 80% of the world’s flowering plants… their health directly impacts many ecosystems as well as our food security.
  • Honeybees produce a variety of hive products including honey, pollen, royal jelly, beeswax, propolis, and venom, which are used for wound care, skin care, and other health benefits.
  • According to the Center for Biological Diversity, 1 in 4 species of bees in North America is at risk of extinction due to factors such as habitat loss, pesticide use, climate change, pests, and disease.
  • One beehive adds an average of 50,000 pollinators to the local environment with upwards of 300 million flowers pollinated each day (U.S. Department of State).
  • Hosting honeybee colonies and creating native pollinator-friendly gardens are two impactful ways to help save and protect the honeybee population.
