We currently offer several private tent sites as well as a ‘glamping’ cabin for those who are looking for a little bit more comfort. Four guests are included in the site price, each additional guest up to a max of 8 guests per site is extra (see fees upon booking). If you have more than 8 guests, please book an additional site.

Each of our campsites is spread out around the property, offering privacy from other campers as well as unique settings. Campsites are equipped with a picnic table, a fire ring, and a trash can (we are a carry in/carry out campground and ask that you take all trash with you upon
leaving).

There is a small bathroom with a flush toilet centrally located on the farm for the common use of campers (toilet paper is provided). A bundle of firewood can be delivered to your campsite for a small fee. We also offer seasonal farm goods for sale that can be added to your welcome basket including honey from our hives and herbs from our garden. Add-ons can be purchased when you book your stay.

Site 1:

Tucked away among long-leaf pine trees, a native and unique type of tree in this area of southeastern Virginia, this tent site is flat and easily accessible by car. Not suitable for RVs.

Site 2:

Located on an embankment next to the Blackwater River, this tent side is shaded by trees and is suitable for RVs.

Site 3:

Located just in front of the 10-acre pond, this site offers beautiful waterfront views. This is our
largest site and is the most suitable for RVs. Kayak and boat access to the pond is near this site so other campers may periodically come and go from the area in front of the campsite.

Site 4:

Tucked away in the woods on the riverfront, this tent site requires a short 75-yard walk from
the parking area to the campsite (not suitable for RVs). Experience beautiful views of the
Blackwater River and it’s unique cypress trees.

Site 5:

This is a small shaded site with the easiest access to our friendly barnyard animals. Not suitable for RVs.

The Blackwater Bungalow

Our ‘glamping’ cabin provides a comfy place to rest while enjoying your camping experience at the Blackwater Birds and Bees farm. Located directly on the water in front of our pond, the cabin features a full-size bed complete with linens/bedding as well as a sleeping loft for 2 additional guests (campers should bring bedding/camp mats for any loft guests). While the cabin does not have electricity or plumbing, it does have battery operated lights and an outhouse with a camp toilet on site for the convenience of cabin guests (we also have a working flush toilet centrally located on the property for the use of all guests).
